So I regularly hand my iphone to Dominic to amuse himself with - he likes to look at the pictures and play angry birds.  Every so often I find he's gotten a photography urge and find things like this on the phone..

Summer PIctures post 5, Renaissance Festival

We went to the Colorado Renaissance Festival twice this year.  It was the first time we'd gone since Dominic outgrew his stroller, so its been at least 6 years (and a regression into Autism) since.  He did phenomenally.  No issues with elopement, LOVED riding the elephant and camel each time, attended beautifully for the programs we watched (he really loved the great cats demonstration, and was not too sure what to think of the sword swallower.  but he sat and watched).  The petting zoo was his favorite part of the first visit and he was quite upset to not see the Chicken house the second trip (we ran out of time)

the funny story behind this one is that a telemarketer had called and I just handed then phone to Dominic.  he said Hello and then just stood there like this for 5 minutes while i tried really hard not to laugh.

Summer pictures, post 2 (Hiking and the Movies)

Dominic enjoyed going hiking with my friend Alison and I at a park not far from the house.  He loved being in charge of the dog. 

We also had a huge first in June - we took Dominic to see his first movie theatre movie, How to Train your Dragon 2.  Not only did he do AMAZINGLY well with sitting still and being focused and being entertained by the screen (he didn't even need to play with my iphone), he's been asking to go back ever since. 

Summer Pictures / Post 1 (Circus and Shopping)

 Sorry for the lack of blogging folks - life has been busy.  Here's post 1 of some of the fun times we've had this summer...

We took Dominic to the circus for the second year in a row.  he was enraptured.

We went shopping after going to dinner one night.... he now won't drive past K-Mart without REALLY wanting toys.
